Why is there tension in my neck and upper back?
Chelsea Baby Asked: Why is there tension in my neck and upper back?
I have good days and bad days, but for the most part, I have tension in my neck and back that's really just NOT comfortable at all. I feel like I have to constantly pop my neck and back but the tension comes back. Sometimes, its so tense I have headaches. Why do I have this tension because I'm not old (I'm 18) and what can I do to make it better? Should I see a chiropractor or something? Please don't tell me just to stop popping my neck and back because I have tried and I am even more miserable if I don't. And the whole arthritis from popping joints is a myth and has been debunked. Please help!!!

If you lift heavy things or sleep in a weird position that may be the problem. What you should do is massage the area and lay down with your feet elevated. If the pain persists than see a doctor or chiropractor.
you have pressure on nerves, some of them going to your neck and back muscles, causing them to be chronically tight. the pressure is caused by upper neck vertebral misalignment. stop cracking , massaging, stretching, doing anything to your neck immediately and permanently. go to an hio method upper cervical specific chiropractor and get the problem professionally corrected.
